    The central part features the coat of arms of the Kingdom of Spain. To its left is the mint mark of Mexico City. To the right of the coat of arms is the Roman numeral 'II.'. The edge of the coin has decorative denticulated elements.
  • Obverse
    The central part features the right-facing profile of King Ferdinand VII of Spain. The text along the left and right edges reads: 'FERD.VII.D.G.HISP.ET IND.R.', which translates from Latin as 'Ferdinand VII, by the Grace of God, King of Spain and the Indies'. In the lower part, following the curve of the edge and separated by dots, is the mint year 1814. The edge of the coin has decorative denticulated elements.
