    In the central part is the emblem of the BCEAO - a sawfish, dividing the number 10 into two parts, below the word 'FRANCS' (10 Francs). In the upper part, along the edge of the coin, the text reads 'BANQUE CENTRALE' (CENTRAL BANK), at the bottom - 'ETATS DE L'AFRIQUE DE L'OUEST' (STATES OF WEST AFRICA). The inscriptions are separated from each other on the left by a cornucopia (mark of the Paris Mint), on the right by a dolphin (mark of the Chief Engraver Emile Rousseau). All inscriptions are in French.
  • Obverse
    In the center, facing front and surrounded by plants, is the head of an antelope. Around the circumference along the rim is a decorative pattern, with the mint year '1975' at the bottom. On the left, between the pattern and the plant stems, is the mark of the Chief Engraver Lucien Georges Bazor: 'G.B. L.BAZOR'.
