    In the center is the word "КОПѢЙКИ" (KOPEKS). Above the word is the denomination—the numeral 2 flanked on both sides by floral rosettes. Below the word is the year of issue "1863". Below the date are the letters "E M". Around the circumference, along the rim, is an unclosed wreath of two laurel branches, which are tied at the bottom with a ribbon in a double bow. The border is decorated with dots.
  • Obverse
    In the center is a double-headed eagle, its heads crowned with two coronets, a third, larger crown above them. In the eagle's right talon is an orb, in the left a scepter. On its breast is the Moscow coat of arms—a shield depicting St. George the Victorious on horseback spearing a dragon. Surrounding the shield is the chain of the Order of St. Andrew the Apostle the First-Called. On the eagle's wings are depicted the coats of arms: of the Kingdoms of Kazan, Poland, Tauric Chersonesos, Astrakhan, Siberia, Georgia, and the combined coats of arms of the Principalities of Kiev, Novgorod, and Vladimir—four on each wing. The border is decorated with dots.
