    In the central part, within an ornamental circle, the coat of arms of Peru, crowned. To its left and right is the abbreviation: '8 S', which from Spanish stands for: 8 escudos. Around the edge of the coin is an inscription in Latin: 'AUSPICE DEO. PI. ME. IN UTROQ FELIX' - happy in this and the other world under God's eye. Along the arc of the coin's edge is a toothed relief pattern.

    In the central part, the right-facing profile of King Ferdinand VII of Spain. Below it, the year of minting: 1809, framed by dots. In the left part, along the arc of the coin's edge, an inscription in Latin: 'FERDIN VII D G' - Ferdinand VII by the Grace of God, on the right - 'HISP ET IND R' - King of Spain and the Indies. The edge of the coin features relief elements executed in the form of teeth.
