    Three five-pointed stars are depicted along the upper edge arc. In the central part, there is a three-line inscription in Ottoman Turkish: "ضرب في مصر", which translates to: "STRUCK IN EGYPT". Below is the year of accession to the throne of the Ottoman Sultan Mehmed V in Indo-Arabic numerals: "۱۳۲۷" - 1327 AH (Islamic calendar) or 1909 AD. Above is the number: "٤" - "4", indicating the 4th year of reign or 1912 AD. Decorative raised denticles are placed along the rim.

    In the upper part, along the edge arc of the coin, seven five-pointed stars are depicted. The central part features the tughra of the Ottoman Sultan Abdul Hamid II. Below is the inscription for 5 Kirsh in Ottoman Turkish: "ش ٥". In the lower part, along the edge arc, images of rose bushes are depicted. Decorative raised denticles are placed along the rim.
