    In the central part is a traditional sailing canoe – a takia, dividing the mint year '1941' into two parts. In the upper part, along the edge of the coin, is the text 'SHILLING'; below it is the name of the Kingdom of Fiji in English: 'FIJI'. Along the edge of the coin are decorative elements in the form of rectangles.

    In the central part is the left-facing profile of King George VI of Great Britain. Around the circumference along the rim is the English text 'GEORGE VI KING EMPEROR', which translates to 'GEORGE VI KING EMPEROR'. Below the truncation of the monarch's neck is the designer's initials 'PM' of the British medallist Percy Metcalfe. The edge of the coin features elements in the form of denticles.
