    In the central part is a double-headed eagle with outstretched wings; the eagle's heads are in a halo, above them a crown; on its chest is a crowned heraldic shield framed by a chain. In the eagle's right talon is a sword, in its left a scepter. Beneath the shield is the empire's highest order. On the shield, arranged in two rows, are eight coats of arms; at the center is a shield depicting the coats of arms of Lorraine and Tuscany. Beneath the eagle's talons are Latin letters: 'H' on the left, 'A' on the right. Along the sides near the rim is a Latin inscription: 'IN TE DOMINE SPERAVI 1750' (In thee, O Lord, have I put my trust, 1750). The edge of the coin features decorative raised denticles.

    In the center is the right-facing profile of Francis I Stephen, Holy Roman Emperor and Duke of Lorraine, wearing a laurel wreath. Along the arc of the coin's edge is a Latin text: left and right 'FRANC∙D:G∙R∙I∙S∙A∙GE∙IER∙R∙LO∙B∙M∙H∙D∙' (Franciscus Dei Gratia Romanorum Imperator Semper Augustus, Germaniae, Hierosolymae Rex, Lotharingiae, Bohemiae, Magni Hetruriae Dux - Francis, by the Grace of God, Emperor of the Romans, Ever August, King of Germany and Jerusalem, Grand Duke of Lorraine, Bohemia, and Tuscany). The edge of the coin features decorative raised denticles.
