    Along the upper rim arc, the military rank and name of the national hero of the Republic of Peru: 'Coronel Francisco Bolognesi'. In the center, his portrait facing left. Along the lower rim arc, the inscription: 'Bicentenario de su nacimiento' (Bicentennial of his birth). To the left of the portrait, a quote from the Colonel: '...que no creas que mi deber tuvo precio' (...so that no one may think my duty had a price), below it a facsimile of his signature.

    In the central part is the coat of arms of the Republic of Peru. It features a heraldic shield surrounded by a wreath of palm and laurel branches. In the left field of the shield is a vicuña facing right, in the right field is a cinchona tree, and at the bottom is a golden cornucopia. Below the coat of arms is the mintmark 'LIMA', and below that the inscription 'UN SOL'. Along the rim are inscriptions: to the left, top, and right 'BANCO CENTRAL DE RESERVA DEL PERÚ', at the bottom in one line are the weight, year, and fineness: '33,625g 2016 PLATA 0,925'.
