On the left side, following the curve of the coin's edge, is the English text: 'VICTORIA', on the right along the rim 'QUEEN', which translates to 'Queen Victoria'. In the lower part, following the curve of the edge, is the mint year 1887. The coin's edge features decorative elements in the form of denticles.
