Along the arc of the left and right edge of the coin, an inscription in Ottoman Turkish: "عز نصره ضرب في قسطنطينية" - "ABDUL MECID STRUCK IN CONSTANTINOPLE". Below - the year of accession to the throne of the Ottoman Sultan Abdulmejid I: "١٢٥٥" - 1255 AH (Hijri year) or 1839 AD. Decorative raised denticles are placed along the rim.

    In the central part, a tughra is depicted, with a rose to the right. Below, in two lines, an inscription in Ottoman Turkish: "١٩ سنة", which translates as: "19 YEAR". Decorative raised denticles are placed along the rim.
