Reverse
In the central part is a double-headed eagle with outstretched wings; the eagle's heads are in a halo, with a crown above them. In its right talon, the eagle holds a sword and scepter; in its left, an orb. On its chest is a crowned heraldic shield depicting the coats of arms of Austria and Lorraine, surrounded by a chain. Below, the number 20 is in a cartouche. The cartouche is flanked on the right by a palm branch and on the left by a laurel branch. Along the edge of the coin are Latin inscriptions: on the right and left 'ARCH:A:D:B:LOTH:M:D:HETR:1786' (Archduke of Austria, Duke of Burgundy, Lorraine, Grand Duke of Tuscany 1786). At the end of the legend is a mark in the shape of the Latin letter 'X'. The edge is decorated with decorative teeth.
Obverse
In the center, within a circle formed by semicircular laurel branches, is the right-facing profile of Holy Roman Emperor Joseph II wearing a laurel wreath tied with a ribbon. The branches are tied at the bottom with a ribbon forming a bow. Below the portrait is the Latin letter 'H∙'. Along the edge of the coin is a Latin text: on the right and left 'IOS:II:D:G:R:IMP:S:A:GER:H:B:REX∙' (Joseph II, by the Grace of God, Roman Emperor, King of Germany, Hungary, Bohemia). The coin's rim features decorative raised teeth.
