Reverse
The central part features the denomination in two lines: ДЕНГА. Below it, the year of mintage is indicated in Old Church Slavonic: 1706. The central image is surrounded by a linear circle. Outside the circle is the inscription: ВСЕѦ РWССIИ САМОДЕРЖЕЦЪ. The coin's edge is made of dots.
Obverse
The center of the obverse is occupied by the coat of arms of the Russian Empire — a double-headed eagle. Both heads of the eagle bear crowns, and a third, larger crown is placed between them. In its right talon, the eagle holds a scepter, and in its left, an orb. The coat of arms is surrounded by a linear circle. Outside the circle is the text: ЦРЬ ИВЕЛIКIИ КНЗЬ ПЕТРЬ АЛЕѯIЕВИЧЪ. The edge consists of dots.
