    The upper part depicts a detail from the painting 'Lemminkäinen's Mother' - a swimming swan, below it water ripples in the form of thirteen wavy diagonal lines. Along the arc of the left and right edge of the coin is the artist's name in Finnish 'AKSELI GALLEN KALLELA', below a palette with the illustrator's years of life in two lines '1865 - 1931'. To the left above the water surface is the Latin letter 'V' - the mint artist's mark of Hannu Veijalainen.
