    In the central part is a double-headed eagle with outstretched wings; the eagle's heads are in a halo, above them a crown. In its right talon, the eagle holds a sword and scepter, in its left an orb. On its breast is a crowned heraldic shield depicting the coats of arms of Austria and Lorraine, surrounded by a chain. On either side of the eagle's tail feathers are Latin letters: left 'S.', right 'C.'. Below, in a cartouche, the number 10. The cartouche is flanked on the right by a palm branch and on the left by a laurel branch. Along the edge of the coin are Latin inscriptions in an arc: right and left 'VIRTUTE ET EXEMPLO 1773∙' (By Virtue and Example 1773). At the end of the legend is a mark in the shape of the Latin letter 'X'. The edge is decorated with decorative denticles.

    In the center, within a circle formed by semicircular laurel branches, is the right-facing profile of Holy Roman Emperor Joseph II wearing a laurel wreath tied with a ribbon forming a bow. The branches are tied at the bottom with a ribbon forming a bow. Below the portrait is the Latin letter 'H'. Along the edge of the coin in an arc is the Latin text: right and left 'IOSEPH∙II∙D:G∙R∙I∙S∙A∙GE∙REX∙A∙A∙LO∙&∙M∙H∙D∙' (Joseph II, by the Grace of God, Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire, King of Germany, Archduke of Austria, Lodomeria, and Grand Duke of Tuscany). The coin's rim features decorative raised denticles.
