    In the central part, an inscription in two lines: КОПѢЙКАСЕРЕБРОМЪ. Above the inscription, the denomination designation—the numeral 1 flanked on both sides by floral rosettes. Below the inscription is a decorative divider consisting of two ornamental lines with a small rectangular rhombus between them. Below the divider is the coin's year of issue, 1842. Lower still is the abbreviation S.P.M. (Saint Petersburg Mint). The border is made of dots.
