    At the top, along the rim's curve, a two-line inscription in Ottoman Turkish: "دولة عثمانيةضرب في قسطنطينية" - "OTTOMAN EMPIRE STRUCK IN CONSTANTINOPLE". In the center - 20 para in Ottoman script: "٢٠ پاره". Below - the year of accession of the Ottoman Sultan Mehmed V: "١٣٢٧" - 1327 AH (Islamic calendar) or 1909 AD. Decorative raised denticles are placed along the rim.

    At the top, along the rim's curve, an inscription in Ottoman Turkish: "حرية مساواة عدالة" - "LIBERTY, EQUALITY, JUSTICE". In the center - the tughra, to the right - the sultan's epithet: "رشاط" - "RESHAD". Below, a two-line inscription in Ottoman script: "٦ سنة", which translates as: "YEAR 6". Decorative raised denticles are placed along the rim.
