Obverse The center of the obverse features a crowned double-headed eagle. On its chest is the coat of arms of the Kingdom of Poland, under a royal crown and canopy. In its right talon, the eagle holds a scepter and a sword, below which is the initial 'F•'. In its left talon is an orb, below which is the initial 'H•'. Together, the letters indicate the mintmaster Fryderyk Hunger.
