In the central part of the disc — the Universiade logo (four-line inscription: 'UNIVERSIADE KAZAN 2013 RUSSIA' in fonts of different sizes, with five small stars below it), and the Universiade emblem (a stylized graphic image of a tulip), located to the left of the logo.
Obverse
At the top along the rim the words BANK OF RUSSIA, at the bottom the year of issue '2013', on the left side an olive branch, and on the right an oak branch. In the central part, the denomination is indicated — the number '10', and below it the currency unit — 'RUBLE'. Inside the digit '0', depending on the viewing angle, the inscriptions '10' and 'RUB' can be seen. Above the year of issue is the mint mark 'SPMD' (Saint Petersburg Mint).
