To the right of the image, the mark of the English designer George Edward Kruger-Gray: 'KG'. The edge is decorated with decorative denticles.

    In the central part of the coin, the left-facing profile of King George VI of Great Britain. Along the rim runs the Latin legend 'GEORGIVS VI D: G: BR: OMN: REX F:D: IND: IMP.', which translates to 'GEORGE VI BY THE GRACE OF GOD KING OF ALL BRITAIN, DEFENDER OF THE FAITH, EMPEROR OF INDIA'. Below the neck truncation are the medallist's initials: 'HP' - Thomas Humphrey Paget. The rim features decorative raised denticles.
