    At the top is a crown – the symbol of British rulers. Along the arcs of the left and right edges of the coin are lotus flowers. In the central part, an inscription in three lines: 'ONE RUPEE INDIA' in English, below it the duplicate inscription in Urdu 'یک روپیہ', and beneath that the date '1910'. Along the edge arc are decorative elements in the form of dots.

    In the central part is a right-facing profile of King Edward VII of Great Britain. Along the rim, split into two parts, is text in English: on the left – 'EDWARD VII', on the right – 'KING & EMPEROR', which translates to 'EDWARD VII KING & EMPEROR'. The edge of the coin features decorative raised dots.
