Reverse The central part features the monogram of Catherine II. Above the monogram is the imperial crown. On either side of the monogram are the digits of the coin's year of issue: '17' on the left and '65' on the right (1765). Near the left edge of the reverse is a laurel branch, and on the right, an oak branch. The bases of the branches are tied together with a ribbon, the knot of which forms a bow. The rim is decorated with raised dots.
Obverse The central part of the obverse features St. George the Victorious on horseback, slaying a serpent with a long spear (the serpent's head is on the right). Beneath the horse are the letters 'E' and 'M'. Along the lower edge is a curved banner indicating the coin's denomination: ДЕНГА. The rim is decorated with dots.
