  • Reverse
    In the central part of the reverse is a relief depiction of the arrival of troops at the Marne: the front part of a car body and marching soldiers. To the left of the soldiers is the inscription fifty euro '50 EURO'. In the upper and right parts of the coin, along the rim, is the inscription 'Taxis de la Marne' in French 'LES TAXIS DE LA MARNE', below the years '1914-2014'. Above the year of issue is a cornucopia – the symbol of the Paris Mint – and a pentagon – the mark of the head of the engraving workshop, Yves Sampo.
  • Obverse
    Against the background of the general mobilization order (Fr. Ordre de mobilisation générale) are depicted women seeing men off to the front and the rear part of a car body used for transporting soldiers. In the lower part, along the curved edge of the coin, are poppy and cornflower blossoms – symbols commemorating the victims of the First World War and French veterans. To the right of the flowers is the abbreviation 'RF' (République Française).
