    In the central part of the coin, the left-facing profile of King George V of Great Britain is struck. Along the arc of the coin's edge from left to right runs the text 'GEORGIVS V DEI GRA: REX ET IND: IMP:', which translates from Latin as 'George V by the Grace of God, King and Emperor of India'. The edge of the coin is decorated with raised dots.
