    The denomination (with stars to the left and right) and monetary unit are indicated on two lines: ⋆ 1/2 ⋆ KOPEYKI. Below, a decorative divider in the form of two curved lines with a small circle between them is placed. Under the lines is the coin's year of minting '1911' and below it the mint mark 'S.P.B.'.

    In the upper part of the obverse is the crown of the Russian Empire with flowing ribbons. The center is occupied by the monogram of Emperor Nicholas II. Below the monogram is a crossing of laurel branches (running along the left edge) and oak branches (right edge).
