    The central part features the coat of arms of Italian Somaliland: a crowned heraldic shield divided horizontally by a wavy line. In the upper part of the shield is a leopard with a five-pointed star, in the lower part are two six-pointed stars. The coat of arms divides the inscription ten lire 'L.10' into two parts. To the left and right, along the rim, the name of the colony 'ITALIAN SOMALILAND' in Italian 'SOMALIA ITALIANA', below the year of minting '1925'. Around the edge of the coin are pyramid-shaped elements.

    The central part depicts the right-facing profile of Victor Emmanuel III, King of a united Italy, wearing a crown. Along the upper arc of the coin's edge is the text 'VICTOR EMMANUEL III KING OF ITALY' in Italian 'VITTORIO EMANVELE III RE D ITALIA'. Below the monarch's truncation is the signature of the Italian medallist Attilio Silvio Motti - 'A.MOTTI'. Around the edge of the coin is a decorative raised pattern of pyramids.
