Reverse In the central part of the reverse is a relief image of a sword, point upwards. From left to right of it, intertwined at the top and cascading downwards, is a wreath of orchids. Above the wreath, to the left and right, is an inscription in the Nepali language. Below, under the sword, a two-line inscription denotes the denomination. All inscriptions and images are enclosed by a circular line. At the top, around the entire circumference, the images are bordered by ornamental elements executed as continuous lines, inside which are eight letters from the Nepali alphabet. The edge of the coin features decorative elements in the form of denticles.
Obverse In the central part is a relief image of a trident, enclosed by a circular line, which is surrounded by geometric shapes containing inscriptions in the Nepali language, themselves enclosed in geometric shapes forming line elements. To the left and right of these, there is an intricate continuous line, decorated with relief images in the form of dots. The line represents various geometric patterns. Inside it, arranged one above the other, are stylized images of cult and religious objects: on the left - the sun at the top, a lotus flower at the bottom. On the right, at the top, is an image of a conch shell, and below it is a staff. All images are separated from each other. Below, within an ornamental line and divided by an ascending vertical stroke, the date of issue "1949" is presented in the Nepali calendar according to the Bikram Samvat era, during the reign of King Tribhuvan of the Shah dynasty. The edge of the coin features decorative raised denticles.
