Behind the coat of arms, within a stylized frame, the abbreviation 'G V R I' meaning 'GEORGE V KING EMPEROR', below, divided by the shield, the artist's personal mark of George Edward Kruger-Gray - 'KG'. Along the rim on the sides the country name 'SOUTHERN RHODESIA', at the top - the year of minting '1934', at the bottom – 'HALF CROWN' framed by crosses. The edge is decorated with decorative denticles.

    In the central part of the coin, the left-facing profile of King George V of Great Britain wearing a crown is struck. To the right and left along the rim, the text in English 'GEORGE V KING EMPEROR'. The edge of the coin features decorative raised denticles.
