    The central part features the denomination in two lines in Japanese: '十 銭' (ten Sen). Above is the Emperor of Japan's emblem (a 16-petal chrysanthemum). Along the left and right arcs of the coin's edge are branches tied together with a ribbon forming a bow. The circumference is decorated with tooth-like elements.

    The central part depicts a circle of 32 cherry blossoms. Inside it is a sun with 108 rays. Along the left arc of the coin's edge (top to bottom) is the inscription '本 日 大', translating from Japanese as 'Empire of the Rising Sun'. Along the right arc of the coin's edge (bottom to top) is the inscription '年 正 大' – the year of mintage and the era name (nengō) of Emperor Yoshihito ('Great Justice'). Along the bottom arc of the coin's edge is the inscription '10 SEN', meaning '10 Sen'.
