In the central part is the coat of arms of the Belgian Congo. The coat of arms features a stylized depiction of a heraldic lion facing left, positioned on a hatched shield, which is placed on top of another larger hatched shield. On the large shield, in the upper left corner, is a five-pointed star. To the left and right of the small shield, two broad ribbons extend to the edges of the large shield. At the top is a crown - a symbol of the power of the Belgian rulers. Along the upper edge in an arc is the inscription "2 FRANCS", which translates from French as "2 francs". Below are the digits "1891" - indicating the year of issue. To the left and right are stylized palm branches, crossed at the bottom. Along the edge of the coin are decorative elements in the form of dentils.

WIENER", which denotes the initials of the artist Leopold Wiener. The edge of the coin features decorative raised dentils.
