Reverse In the upper part, a two-line German inscription 'EIN KREUZER' (One Kreuzer). In the lower part, the year of issue '1816∙', below it crossed laurel branch (left) and palm branch (right). At the bottom near the rim, the Latin letter 'A' - the mint mark of Vienna. At the top, decorative raised denticles along the edge of the coin.
Obverse In the central part, the coat of arms of the Austrian Empire: a double-headed eagle with outstretched wings, its heads crowned, above them the Crown of Saint Stephen; in the eagle's right talon a sword and scepter, in the left an orb; on its breast the familial heraldic shield of Habsburg-Lorraine, encircled by a chain. Along the upper arc of the coin's edge, a German inscription 'K∙K∙OESTERREICHISCHE SCHEIDEMÜNZE∙' (Royal Imperial Austrian Subsidiary Coin). Denticles along the edge of the coin.
