In the central part is Saint Wenceslas on horseback. Under the horse's right front hoof are the letters "VO", denoting the designer's initials: Vladimír Oppl. To the left, the inscription 20 korun in Czech in two lines: "20 Kč".
Obverse
In the central part is a profile depiction of a two-tailed lion - the coat of arms of the Czech Republic. At the top, left and right along the edge is text in Czech: "ČESKÁ REPUBLIKA" - "CZECH REPUBLIC", at the bottom - the year of minting: "1996". Above it is the mint mark of the Jablonec nad Nisou Mint: "b".
