    Along the edge of the coin are the following relief elements: at the top - the outline of an eight-pointed star; on the left, right, and bottom - national ornaments; to the left of the bottom ornament, the symbols 'ҚҰБ', to the right - the mintmark of the Kazakhstan Mint. In the central disk, against a reeded background, is the large number 100, below it the inscription in Kazakh 'TENGE'.

    Along the edge of the coin on the left, top, and right is the Cyrillic name of the state, the Republic of Kazakhstan - 'KAZAKSTAN RESPUBLIKASY', at the bottom the year of minting '2001', flanked on both sides by relief elements in the form of dots. In the central part is the national coat of arms: a shanyrak (the upper domed part of a yurt) in the form of a crosspiece inscribed in a circle, from which support rays radiate in different directions, surrounded on the sides by mythical winged horses, tulpars. At the top, between the wings, is a five-pointed star, at the bottom the name of the country 'KAZAKSTAN'.
