    In the upper part of the field, a two-line inscription in German: 6 KREUZER. In the lower part, the year of issue '1849', below it a moresque pattern, and further below the Latin letter 'A' - the mint mark of Vienna. The edge of the coin features decorative raised denticles.
  • Obverse
    In the center, a heraldic shield depicting a double-headed eagle with spread wings, its heads crowned; in its right talon, a sword and scepter, in its left, an orb; on its chest, the familial heraldic shield of Habsburg-Lorraine. Above the shield is the Crown of Saint Stephen. Along the arc of the coin's edge, the text in German on the right, bottom, and left reads: 'K∙K∙OESTERREICHISCHE SCHEIDEMÜNZE' (Imperial Royal Austrian Subsidiary Coin). The edge of the coin features denticle-like elements.
