    The central part features a stylized depiction of a sailing ship and waves against a rock on the left, presented on an oval shield. The top of the shield shows the Sun and the Zodiac signs: Aries, Taurus, Gemini, and Cancer. At the top of the oval shield is a condor facing left, spreading its wide wings over four flags of Ecuador. To the left of the shield, laurel can be seen; to the right, palm leaves. The lower part of the emblem is occupied by fasces. Along the upper edge in an arc is the inscription "DOS SUCRES", which translates from Spanish as "two sucres". Along the lower edge of the coin, in an arc, is the English inscription "PHILA. U.S.A" - the mint mark for "Philadelphia, U.S.A.". To its left is the inscription "10. gram", indicating the coin's weight of 10 grams. To the right - "LEY 0,720", meaning "Silver .720 fineness". The coin's edge has relief designs in the form of denticles.

    The central part features the left-facing profile of Antonio José de Sucre, President of Ecuador and hero of the Latin American War of Independence. Along the edge of the coin from left to right runs the Spanish text "REPUBLICA DEL ECUADOR", which translates to "Republic of Ecuador". Along the rim at the bottom are the numbers "1928", indicating the year of issue. The coin's edge has relief designs in the form of denticles.
