Reverse Along the lower edge in two lines is the inscription in English 'NUNAVUT / CANADA 2 DOLLARS', translating as the name of the territory Nunavut, the country name Canada, and 'two dollars'. In the central part is a figure of an Inuit shaman with a drum.
Obverse Along the rim are inscriptions in English: on the left 'ELIZABETH II', on the right 'D. G. REGINA', translating as 'Elizabeth II by the Grace of God Queen'; at the top a maple leaf - the symbol of Canada; at the bottom the year of issue '1999'. In the central part, within a circular linear border, is the right-facing profile of the Queen.
