    Along the upper edge arc, a two-line inscription in Kazakh: "TÜRKISTAN / AKHMET YASAUI KESENESI", translated as "Turkestan. Mausoleum of Ahmed Yasawi." In the central part of the reverse is a relief image of the mausoleum. To its right is the mint year "2000", below a two-line inscription "1500 / ZHIL", translated as "1500 years." The inscription is flanked on both sides by relief elements in the form of five-petaled flowers.

    Along the rim are inscriptions in Kazakh: on the left "...KAZAKSTAN", on the right "ULTTYK BANKI...", translated as "NATIONAL BANK OF KAZAKHSTAN." In the center is the national coat of arms: a shanyrak (the upper domed part of a yurt) in the form of a crosspiece inscribed in a circle, from which support rays radiate, surrounded on the sides by mythical winged horses, tulpars. Above, between the wings, is a five-pointed star; below is the country name "KAZAKSTAN." Below the coat of arms is the large number 50, flanked on both sides by relief national ornaments; below that is the inscription "TENGE", highlighted with relief elements in the form of dots. To the right of the coat of arms is the "KUB" mintmark of the Kazakhstan Mint.
