  • Reverse
    The central part features the denomination in two lines in Japanese: «十銭» (10 Sen). Above it is the Emperor of Japan's emblem (a 16-petal chrysanthemum). Along the arcs of the left and right edges of the coin are branches tied together with a ribbon forming a bow. The circumference is decorated with tooth-like elements.
  • Obverse
    The central part depicts a circle of 32 cherry blossoms. Inside it is a sun with 108 rays. On the left side, along the arc of the coin's edge (from top to bottom), is the inscription «本日大», which translates from Japanese as 'Empire of the Rising Sun'. On the right side, along the arc of the coin's edge (from bottom to top), is the inscription «年二正大», indicating the year of mintage from the beginning of the Taishō era. At the bottom, along the edge, is the Latin text «10 SEN», meaning '10 sen'.
