    In the central part of the reverse is a relief image of a falcon sitting on a rock. Along the arc of the left and right edge of the coin is the inscription: 'Исчезающие виды животных', in English 'ENDANGERED WILDLIFE'. Along the arc of the lower edge is the inscription in English: '50 DOLLARS'.
  • Obverse
    In the central part is the right-facing profile of Queen Elizabeth II. On the truncation of the neck is the monogram 'RDM' of the engraver Raphael David Maklouf. To the left and right along the rim are inscriptions in English: 'ELIZABETH II' and 'COOK ISLANDS'. In the lower part, along the arc of the coin's edge, is the year of mintage 1991.
