In the central part is a circle of dots. Inside the circle is a double facing portrait of George VI, King of the United Kingdom of Great Britain, and his wife Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon. Above the portrait is the English text 'THE CORONATION OF GEORGE VI', below it the coronation year '1937'. Along the edge of the coin are inscriptions in English: at the top 'QUEEN ELIZABETH THE QUEEN MOTHER', at the bottom 'ONE DOLLAR', with a decorative raised cross-shaped pattern on the right and left.
Obverse
In the central part is the right-facing profile of Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain wearing a crown. In the truncation of the portrait are the initials of the British sculptor Raphael David Maklouf - 'RDM'. Along the rim are inscriptions in English: on the left the name of the British Overseas Territory 'BERMUDA', on the right the monarch's name 'ELIZABETH II', at the bottom the year of issue '1996'.
