Reverse In the central part, a two-line inscription: КОПѢЙКИСЕРЕБРОМЪ. Above the inscription, the denomination designation—the numeral 2 flanked on both sides by floral rosettes. Below the inscription is a decorative divider in the form of two ornamental lines with a small rectangular diamond between them. Slightly below the ornamental divider is the coin's year of mintage, 1840, under which is the abbreviation E.M. (Ekaterinburg Mint). The entire edge of the coin is stamped with raised dots.
Obverse The center is occupied by the monogram of Emperor Nicholas I, crowned with an imperial crown. The border is decorated with large dots.
