On both sides of the monogram are the digits of the coin's year of issue: on the left - '17', on the right - '64' (1764). Around the central image, along the rim, is depicted a wreath of laurel and palm branches, which, in the lower part, are tied together with a ribbon in a bow.
Obverse In the central part is depicted the State Emblem of the Russian Empire - a double-headed eagle with raised, spread wings. Its heads are crowned with two crowns, a third, larger crown above them. On the eagle's breast is the Moscow coat of arms - a shield depicting St. George the Victorious slaying a dragon with a spear. Around the shield is the chain of the Order of St. Andrew the First-Called. In the eagle's right talon is a scepter, in the left - an orb. Under the right talon is the letter 'S', under the left - the letter 'M'. The mintmark of the Sestroretsk Mint. Below, under the central image, in a semicircle, is a ribbon with the denomination inscription - 'PYAT•KOPEYEK'.
