Reverse In the central part, a dagger (point up) above which is a garland of flowers, below the inscription 'one rupee' in Nepali. Around it are 8 segments with symbols. The edge is decorated with decorative teeth.
Obverse In the center is a depiction of a trident within a circle, behind it a square with symbols inside. Outside the square are: on the left - a gear, a lotus flower; at the top - symbols enclosed between a moon and a sun; on the left - a conch shell and a staff; at the bottom - the year of minting according to the Vikram Samvat calendar. The edge of the coin has decorative raised teeth.
