Stamps

The Stamps department offers philatelic material and collectable postcards: stamps and series of the Russian Empire, zemstvo post, RSFSR and USSR issues, world stamps, souvenir sheets and se-tenants, imperforate varieties and overprints, postal stationery, first day covers, cancellations and old picture postcards.

Each lot gives the year of issue and catalogue number, perforation and printing method, the presence of gum and hinges, the quality of the cancellation and the condition of margins and corners. Photographs make printing varieties and paper shades visible — the details that determine value in philately. Faults are stated separately: thins, tears, hinge remnants and reperforation.

Subsection circles separate stamps from postcards, and the search box works with issue names and themes such as space or olympics. Sorting by price reveals both inexpensive series for beginners and rare sheets for advanced collectors.

Stamps are bought singly and in series, for thematic collections and as an investment: scarce issues in fine condition gain value over the years. Each lot shows its starting price, current bid and time remaining.
