Found: 37The Posters department offers original posters and playbills: film posters of the 1920s–1930s, propaganda and political posters, wartime sheets and TASS Windows, advertising posters, sports, theatre and circus bills, together with sketches and maquettes that never reached print. Artists include the Stenberg brothers, Dmitry Moor, Sergei Senkin, Alexander Zhitomirsky and Vladimir Shtranikh.
Descriptions state the artist, publisher and printing house, year, print run and censor number, dimensions and printing technique — lithography, offset or screenprint. Posters are printed ephemera and fragile, so condition is covered in detail: restoration and backing on paper or linen, fold lines, edge tears, losses and infills, fading of the inks. Photographs show the whole sheet and its details.
Subsection circles group the department by subject, the search box works with titles and artist names, and sorting by price shows both affordable sheets and rare first printings.
An original poster is a striking interior object and a growing collecting field: avant-garde film posters and 1920s propaganda graphics are sought after internationally, with condition and first printing driving the price. Each lot shows its starting price, current bid and closing time.
