Found: 34The Glass department offers art glass and crystal: vases, decanters and flasks, drinking sets, bowls, lamps and shades, decorative sculpture and paperweights. Coloured and cased glass, engraved and cut crystal, etched, lustre and iridescent surfaces, cameo and millefiori work are all represented.
European and Russian production appears side by side: Baccarat and St Louis, Daum and Gallé, Lalique, Moser, Bohemian glass and Augarten, together with the Gus-Khrustalny and Dyatkovo works and the Leningrad studios. Lots state technique, colour and dimensions, signature or mark and condition — rim chips, wear to facets, restoration to a foot. Items are photographed both against the light and in reflected light so that bubbles, crackle and the quality of the cutting are visible.
Subsection circles sort the department by object type, the maker filter gathers a single manufactory, and the search box works with words such as vase or decanter.
Art glass is an accessible way into collecting: a mid-century vase or a set of glasses costs little, while signed pieces by known houses appreciate over time. Each lot shows its starting price, current bid and closing time.
